Free Animal Treatment & De-worming Camp Sunday, March 14, 2010 Dairy Hub Kassowal (District Sahiwal)

Vets Care Club, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore (VCC) in collaboration with the Tetra Pak, DeLaval & Engro Foods organized a Free De-worming and Treatment Camp in Dairy Hub Kassowal (District Sahiwal) on Sunday 14th of March 2010. About 78 volunteer veterinary doctors and veterinary students participated in the camp.
Participants attended a welcome & briefing session at dairy hub office, where they were briefed about the aims and objectives of the camp and Dairy Hub project by Hafiz Sajjad Hussain (Dairy Hub Manager) & Dr. Muhammad Nasir Javed (Project Manager Dairy Hub). They thanked the participants for sparing their time for this noble cause. Mr. Muzaffar Hussain (President Vets Care Club) gave a brief introduction about Vets Care Club and its activities. He payed thanks to all the authorities who helped in arranging this event.
Afterwards, the volunteers were divided into six teams and moved to 6 different villages (13/14.L, 17/14.L, 18/14.L, 101/12.L, 102/12.L and 21/14.L). Parasites are major problem in Pakistan that causes stress to animals and make them prone to various diseases easily. Therefore, all animals were de-wormed and provided with the necessary medicines. According to official record 1152 animals were de wormed free of cost
